Buzio Restaurant, set within the Prainha Resort, Algarve, serves excellent food in a stunning location. Overlooking Alvor beach, you can enjoy quality food, quality service and unforgettable views.

The cuisine at Buzio Restaurant is Mediterranean, but with a strong flavour of wonderful Portuguese and Algarve dishes. The results of this fusion are delicious. Owner and host Gilberto enjoys creating new dishes and giving a new twist to old favourites. Aside from the regular menu, diners at Buzio will always have several other enticing dishes to choose from, depending on what Gilberto found at the market that day. Buzio also has an extensive wine list. Here, the staff is well informed and more than capable of guiding you towards the right wine to accompany each dish.

Although the menu at Buzio can vary from day to day, starters can include Homemade Marinated Salmon, smoked breast of duck in a Cassis sauce and sautéed spring greens with Portuguese Black Pudding. There is always a good selection of seafood dishes – Scallops and mussels in a fresh tomato sauce, Fillet of Sea Bass steamed in Muscat wine and served with a Coriander Pesto, Monk fish Tornedó with a Pernod sauce. Meat dishes include a variety of steaks, Iberian Pork fillets, Beef Medallions in a Red wine and Thyme sauce and Rack of Lamb.

Set within the grounds of Prainha Resort, in the western Algarve, next to Alvor, Buzio is blessed with a truly beautiful setting. The mature gardens of Prainha with the umbrella pines and tall palm trees are the perfect backdrop for the entrance to the restaurant. Once in the restaurant you gravitate naturally to the terrace which overlooks the long expanse of Alvor beach all the way over to Lagos and the stunning rock formations of Prainha. This is the perfect place to enjoy those wonderfully warm Algarve evenings and those memorable sunsets.

At Buzio, Gilberto and his team have been serving excellent food, beautifully presented since 1994. They also ensure that each guest receives a warm welcome and some wonderful Portuguese hospitality.
